Opportunities to Volunteer with the Idaho Dental Hygienists' Association
Garden City Community Clinic
Right now, we are gearing up here in our dental clinic for our fall patients. We want to recruit volunteer Hygienists to assist our volunteer Dentist provide solid dental care for our patients. Currently we have about a 3 week waiting list of patients needing hygiene appointments and that does not include new patients we have scheduled for exams and xrays.
We have most recently been provided a grant to increase the number of operatories from our 2 chairs to 3, with our new chair dedicated to hygiene and this remodel began in August 2012. This is most exciting news for us that we will now be able to serve more patients with the help of our professional volunteers.
I realize that many hygienists work very long hours, but I am hoping that there may be a handful, or more, that would like to volunteer ½ day on a rotating basis of their discretion in our clinic providing SRP's, general prophy appointments and oral hygiene instructions.
